In the area of higher education, Government General Degree College, Dantan-II has consistently upheld the spirit of the Indian Constitution by giving equal opportunities to all segments of society, particularly to the most backward groups, namely Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and Minorities. In order to assist and strengthen our college's minority and backward students, the Backward Cell was founded. Articles 340, 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution address the development and protection of the underprivileged and minority groups. The college is dedicated to upholding the spirit of the Constitution by defending students' rights against these provisions.

Objectives:

. To assist SC, ST, OBC, and minority students in resolving both personal and academic conflicts.

. To guarantee a healthy and safe learning environment for the pupils.

. Prompt resolution of complaints pertaining to problems or occurrences on college campuses.

. To respect the Indian Constitution's reserve laws and protect students' rights.

. Notifying students who identify as SC, ST, OBC, or Minority about stipends and scholarships provided by the UGC, the State or Central Government, and other organizations.
