Anti-Ragging Cell:

Government General Degree College Dantan-II has put in place an anti-ragging policy that consists of stringent rules and procedures designed to stop any kind of student harassment, bullying, or hazing. Typically, it entails victim support networks, disciplinary measures, and awareness campaigns. All students are to learn in a respectful and safe atmosphere, according to these policies. At the time of admission, all parents and students are required by UGC to provide affidavits to the institutions declaring their opposition to ragging. In a recent notification memo No. FD-763/2018, dated July 19, 2018, the Education Directorate, Government of West Bengal, has also instructed the Principals, OICs, and TICs of both Government and Government-Aided colleges to take action against ragging. In line with the directives of the West Bengal government and the UGC regulations, GGDC Dantan-II has implemented a zero-tolerance policy by enacting several strict measures in recent years that forbid any kind of ragging on campus. Upon admission, guardians and students complete anti-ragging declaration affidavits. Through the orientation program, new college students are informed about the policies and procedures pertaining to ragging at the start of each academic year. In this anti-ragging awareness campaign, Government General Degree College Dantan-II's NSS and IQAC assume the primary roles. In order to stop and identify cases of ragging, campus activities and student interactions are closely observed. All students are to learn in a respectful and safe atmosphere, according to these policies.

The College established the Anti Ragging Cell in accordance with the University Grants Commission's (UGC) directive to stop ragging both on and off campus. The Statutory Body responsible for making sure that there is no ragging on campus is the Anti-Ragging Cell.
