Situated at kashmuli in the Dantan-II Block of PaschimMedinipur, Government General Degree College ,Dantan-II was established by the Government of West Bengal in the year 2015. Since then the college is committed to impart quality Higher Education to the students of rural and semi-urban areas. The college offers formal degree courses in areas as varied as language, humanities, sciences and social sciences. With eight departments and two NSS Units, our aim is to venture beyond the traditional tenets of higher education. In our college the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff are ever careful to let the young minds develop freely and healthily so that they can discover their potentials to fulfil their dreams and aspirations. The modern means of classroom teaching like smart classroom, library and science laboratories are available in the college and although the college is still in its nascent stage, it, I am sure, has succeeded in creating an impact on the minds of people around.
